Established in 1991, Blast Theory is recognised internationally as one of the most adventurous artists’ groups using interactive media, creating groundbreaking new forms of performance and interactive art. Confronting a media saturated world in which popular culture rules, the group’s work has been presented in venues and festivals worldwide including the Sydney Biennale (2002), National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (2004) and ICC, Tokyo (2005). Awards include the Golden Nica at Prix Ars Electronica, Austria (2003) and the Maverick Award at the Game Developers Choice Awards, USA (2005).
