English painter, printer and collector, Howard Hodgkin studied at Camberwell School
of Art and the Bath Academy of Art from 1949 to 1954. He was shortlisted for the
Turner Prize in 1984, and in 1985 he went on to win the award for the international
impact of his 1984 Venice Biennale exhibition. His work has featured in solo exhibitions
worldwide including at the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Modern Art Museum of
Fort Worth, Texas; Hayward Gallery, London; and at the Dulwich Picture Gallery,
London.
