Tate welcomes all types of pre-booked filming, including feature films, television dramas, documentaries, interviews, photographic shoots and student projects. We can also facilitate filming for commercials providing there is no conflict with Tate’s existing corporate relationships.

Tate Modern and Tate Britain offer a range of unique spaces for use in location filming.

Tate Modern

Tate Modern offers contemporary architectural spaces and spectacular views of the London skyline. It has been the location for several recent feature films including Bridget Jones’s Diary, Match Point, The Constant Gardener and Children of Men.

The Turbine Hall can accommodate large crews and even vehicles, while the East Room makes an ideal location for interviews or smaller scenes.

Tate Britain

Tate Britain offers an altogether different filming environment, with its classical architectural spaces and grand galleries built to showcase nineteenth-century paintings. It has been used as a location for Enduring Love, Armadillo and Van Wilder II.
