I'm an artist living and working in London. I went to Croydon College of Art and then Goldsmiths College, leaving in 1987. The first time I showed my paintings was in 1988 in 'Freeze' which was curated by Damien Hirst, a fellow student at Goldsmiths. I was short listed for the Turner Prize in 1991 and have taken part in many solo and group exhibitions in Europe, America and Asia, including Charles Saatchi's Sensation at the Royal Academy in 1997. I was elected a Royal Academician in 2002. I'm currently working towards a solo exhibition with PaceWildenstein in New York this autumn.
