Monisha Shah

I am Director of Emerging Markets for BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm of the BBC which manages a range of media businesses around the world. As part of the international sales team, which delivered a record £200m in revenues in 2006-07, I am responsible for determining strategy and delivering key business objectives in the Emerging Markets, which include the Indian sub-continent, Africa, Middle East and Eastern Europe including CIS and Russia. I am responsible for developing business partnerships across traditional and new media throughout all of these territories to maximise profit and revenues for BBC Worldwide.

I am on the board of BBC World India, and represent BBC Worldwide on its radio and magazines joint ventures in India.

Born and raised in Bombay, I am a graduate of the University of Bombay, and hold a Masters degree from SOAS, University of London, as well as an Executive MBA from the London Business School.
