Research Fellowships

Tate Research Fellows are senior or mid-career researchers who wish to further their research and/or develop their professional expertise through a period of close association with Tate as a whole or with a particular part of Tate. Applicants need to be able to demonstrate the value to them of this association and also show how their research will benefit Tate. The awards are non-stipendiary. Currently Tate is not offering further fellowships.

Tate is delighted to host a growing number of doctoral students engaged in research at Tate.

Research placements

The Research Development department welcomes applications for short-term research placements for individual students from course leaders in universities. The placements need to form part of and fulfil the requirements of an academic course and are distinct from internships. The department will consider each application on its merits and will be able to consider offering a range of tasks relating to research and its publication.
