This has been an important year in shaping Tate's future. Our vision for 2015, Tate Next Generation, outlines our plans for working with new audiences, producing innovative programmes, harnessing new technology and accommodating emerging art forms.
Our newly completed Diversity Strategy, drawn up by a Tatewide team, signals our ambition to increase the breadth of our audiences and staff. Its objectives include opening up our programmes and jobs to all, considering diversity in all areas of our work and creating an environment where staff feel valued. Throughout the year we have participated in a number of internships such as the Inspire Programme run by Arts Council England, which provides a two-year placement for curators from diverse backgrounds. We have completed the second year of the Arts Council England-funded Gallery Education Training course, designed to encourage further participation by minority ethnic artists in art education, and participated in Young Graduates for Museums and Galleries, a programme providing work experience for young people from London schools. Tate Liverpool has also supported the Black History Month Traineeship Programme.
