Development is responsible for all the fundraising activities at Tate. It comprises Corporate Support, Corporate Events, Trusts and Public Sector, Individual Giving and Operations, as well as the US Development Office and the Tate Foundation.

Development works with other Tate departments and sites to optimise funds from individuals, companies, trusts and public sector funders in support of Tate programmes, collections and buildings. It works to secure maximum income by increasing membership, managing events, high-level relationship management and a donor-care system.

Rebecca Williams

Function

Responsible for fundraising from trusts and foundations, the public sector, corporations and events, while co-ordinating the work of the Development Office for all types of funding, across all divisions and regions.

Biography

As Director of Development at King’s College, London, Rebecca Williams was responsible for the successful completion of the college’s first capital campaign. She has over 12 years’ fundraising experience in the arts and education sectors and has previously worked in the fundraising teams at the Almeida Theatre and the Royal College of Art.
