Visitor Experience and Estates works to enable all our visitors to explore and enjoy our sites by providing an exceptional service to people in a welcoming environment. It is also responsible for the safety and security of people and the collection, and for developing and maintaining Tate’s buildings and facilities.

Function

Responsible for ensuring that an exceptional experience is delivered for all visitors in welcoming public spaces and for providing information that encourages an interactive relationship between our staff and our visitors. Also responsible for delivering Tate’s Estates Strategy, so that our buildings and facilities are fit for purpose.

Biography

  • 2004–2008: Head of Visitor Services and Operations, Tate Modern
  • 2000–2004: Front of House Manager, Tate Modern
  • 1996–2000: Project Officer, Tate Modern

Adrian joined Tate in 1992 as an Information Assistant and undertook various roles in the Press Office before taking up a position on the development of Tate Modern. Prior to Tate, he worked for the Ministry of Defence before studying for a BA Hons in History of Art, Design and Film at Middlesex Polytechnic, followed by a Postgraduate Certificate in Film Studies at UEA.
