'The photographs used in this print are of the American composers Earle Brown and John Cage. The check-out ticket reminded me of the random number sequences used in the 50s and 60s as a method for generating modern music scores. I was intrigued also by the sound/ noise made by the manual cash register used for this check-out ticket in contrast to that made by the new electronic versions.’ (loc.cit.)
