Made in collaboration with Harvey Dwight from a photograph set up and taken in Finlay's garden at Little Sparta. In conversation with the compiler the artist described the image as ‘an enigmatic emblem. Visual paradox is one mode of an emblem’, adding that it referred to traditional German tree-worship and the violence of nature.

This and the following entries [P07625-P07634 and P07645-P07647] have all been approved by the artist.
