Technique and condition
A watercolour on medium-weight, cream wove paper. The support has been stuck on to a secondary lining, which is skinned and attached onto a backing board.
The work is in good condition with noticeable surface dirt and general discolouration. On acquisition the watercolour was removed from the secondary lining and backing board, dry-cleaned to reduce surface dirt and pressed. It was then inlaid and mounted onto white museum board.
