Heybridge lies on the estuary of the River Blackwater, Essex, and the artist painted many subjects in this area. Three pictures, ‘Heybridge Basin No.1’ (N05945), ‘Heybridge Basin No.2’ and ‘Heybridge Basin No.3’, were shown at the London Group exhibition in 1947.
