Catalogue entry

There are various studies of hulks (decommissioned, dismasted warships) interspersed with topographical sketches in the Hamoaze and lower reaches of the River Tamar north-west of Plymouth Sound between 3 recto and 29 recto (D09671–D09703). This sketch may show a warship, perhaps temporarily laid up, as it seems to have its full complement of masts, with its sails and flags lightly indicated.
