Catalogue entry

As discussed in the introduction, most of the drawings in this book are rapid figure studies, many of which are explicitly erotic; others may be similar in intent. Here a naked or partly draped woman is seen from the back, supported by her left arm as she reaches upwards with her right to embrace or repel the fragmentary figure above her.
