The subject on the right, a slight view of tall buildings in a street or square with statues or figures, is unidentified, but may be Italian; see the Introduction to this section for further brief discussion and dating. Compare Tate D34011 (Turner Bequest CCCXLI 293). The scattered forms in the left-hand half and at the right-hand edge are difficult to decipher.
