Copies: William Ward made a copy of this work for the cabinet Ruskin presented to Whitelands College (frame 51) (see Works, XXX, p.354 and n.2). Ward sold versions of a view title 'Beaugency' at the Fine Art Society in 1878, which could be based on either this study or cat.91 (see Works, XIII, p.575, no.13). A copy of the latter was sold at Phillips on 22 December 1986 (72) and was apparently approved by Ruskin
