This drawing was the basis for the untraced watercolour view engraved by J. Walker for Walker’s Itinerant, 1796,1 or the Copper-Plate Magazine. A pencil drawing of a near view of St John’s Church, Chester, made on this tour, is in the British Museum, London (Lloyd Bequest, 1958–7–12–396).
