Watercolour and gouache, with pen, on blue paper (type E) 132 x 184 (5 1/4 x 7 1/4)
Preliminary sketches: Although there are sketches of the quays to the west of Nantes, all of those focus on the view back to the city. This scene may have been sketched on the spot.
