For Schaffhausen see folios 64 verso–65 of this sketchbook (D04723–D04724), which have a double-page spread showing the town and the castle in the middle distance on the left. David Hill, while specifying Turner’s location in the present drawing, also notes that the church clock reads 7.05, but that there is no indication of whether this is morning or evening.
