Catalogue entry

These Midlands subjects, inverted relative to the sketchbook’s foliation, currently remain unidentified. There are several separate sketches, including a church with a spire and trees at the top left, what may be a ruined castle or gateway at the lower centre, and what is possibly the same structure at the top right.
