Mostly inverted relative to the sketchbook’s foliation, the studies at the top of this group are details of Malmesbury Abbey; at top left is the detail of a moulding on a doorway in the cloister. Those below are from Lacock. Architectural historian Christopher Wilson has kindly confirmed these identifications.1
See between folios 5 verso–14 recto (D01470–D 01486), and folio 86 recto opposite (D01606; Turner Bequest XL 84), for drawings made at Malmesbury. For Lacock, see folios 87 recto, 87 verso–88 recto, 89 verso–90 recto (D01608–D01610, D01613–D01614; Turner Bequest XL 85, 85a–86, 87a–88), and the entry for D01609.
