This page contains three sketches. The subjects are currently unidentified although the central and lower view possibly depict sections of the Aurelian Walls in Rome. The study at the top appears to represent a palace or villa and Turner’s inscription suggests it has some connection to the Villa d’Este in Tivoli. A further sketch of the same building appears on folio 70 (D15429; Turner Bequest CLXXXII 69).
