Turner Bequest CVI 80a
Pencil on white wove paper, 108 x 185 mm

Accepted by the nation as part of the Turner Bequest 1856
Drawn with the sketchbook inverted. This is a very slight outline sketch, suggesting a bridge overhung with trees and ruined towers on a hill behind them. A similar quick outline, perhaps of part of the same building, is on folio 84 verso (D07238; Turner Bequest CVI 81a).
