A right-hand page of the sketchbook, with stitch holes on the left. The drawing, of trees and a road, continues the view of Crowhurst Park on another leaf from this sketchbook (D10327; Turner Bequest CXXXVIII 8), for which see catalogue entry. The road noted by Turner is clearly seen on the right of the watercolour Pevensey Bay, from Crowhurst Park made from this combined drawing for John Fuller (private collection)1 and engraved by William Bernard Cooke in 1816 for Views in Sussex.
