This leaf was one of six said by Finberg to be ‘loose and unnumbered’ but which ‘probably belonged to this [sketch]book’.1 It is now bound in with other Ramsgate subjects, for which see note to folio 22 verso (D10451). Similar views of the approach to Ramsgate harbour from the north are on the verso and folio 24 of the sketchbook (D10583, D10576; Turner Bequest CXL 89, 85).
