Continued from folio 41 verso (D13530) is a view of the Firth of Forth from the south near Hopetoun House. The near (south) bank shows the area around Port Edgar, beyond which is the island of Inchgarvie. Turner has inscribed the page ‘IG as in the last’, referring to the island and a sketch on the previous sketchbook page (41 verso). This is inscribed ‘garvie’ and repeats the view shown here with Port Edgar and Inchgarvie beyond.
