These two sketches focus on opposing sides of the Lake of Nemi. The uppermost view depicts the eastern shore with the town of Nemi. Clearly visible is the circular tower of the Castello Ruspoli and the arched substructures spanning the valley. The sketch in the bottom right-hand corner shows a view of the town of Genzano on the western shore directly opposite Nemi.
