With the sketchbook turned to the right is the final part of a three-page inscription by Turner in brown ink continuing from folios 1 and 2 (D25644, D25646). The notes relate to the discussion at the Royal Academy about purchasing the Old Master drawings from the collection of the late President, Sir Thomas Lawrence. An explanation and transcription is on folio 1.
