With the sketchbook inverted are two views of Berwick Bridge (or the Old Bridge) which spans the River Tweed at Berwick-upon-Tweed. Both views are from the north bank of the Tweed to the west of the bridge near the remains of Berwick Castle. In fact the stepped White Wall of the Castle can be seen at the left of the lower sketch.
At the bottom of the page is a small study of one of the pillars and buttresses between the arches of the bridge. There is another study of the bridge on folio 46 (D25726), where this feature is more apparent.
