The jagged lines across the page represent either cliffs or breaking waves on the cliffs at New Brighton on the Wirral peninsular. The drawing continues on folio 5 verso (D25771) with New Brighton lighthouse and fort and the coast line of Liverpool beyond. There are further views of Liverpool on folios 1 verso–7 verso (D25763–D24775).
