With the sketchbook in its usual orientation there are two sketches of a coastline with cliffs, and a sketch of two figures with a boat. With the sketchbook inverted is the continuation of a sketch of Carlisle (see folio 42 verso; D25844) showing one of the towers of the Citadel on this page.
