This sketch, like folios 24 verso and 26 (D27009, D27012), depicts the Lower Falls of Foyers from the east. The waterfall itself is partially obscured in this sketch by trees, but its presence is signalled by a single serpentine line descending at the centre left of the page, and the pool with the continuation of the stream to its right can be seen at the bottom of the page. The hill at the centre of the page is Creag Bhreac.
For further sketches of the Falls of Foyers see folio 40 verso (D27034).
