This sketch is of the Precentor’s Manse, often known as the Bishop’s House, in the precinct of Elgin Cathedral. The view is from the entrance to Elgin Cathedral to the east of the Manse. There is a sketch of the other side of the house on folio 132 verso (D27204), and it is also seen in a sketch on folio 24 verso (D27080).
