The main sketch is likely to be looking downstream along the River Clyde from the top of Corra Linn. See folio 1 verso (D26260) for references to sketches of the Falls of Clyde. At the left of the page is the continuation of the sketch of Craignethan Castle from folio 14 verso (D26286), Turner having peeled back that page a few inches in order to continue his sketch at the left on the present page.
