Comparison with another sketch on folio 32 (D15797) suggests that this study may depict Molina, a town which lies on the inland road between Naples and Salerno. The building and tower in the centre of the composition may represent the church of the Madonna delle Neve (or Santa Maria delle Neve), destroyed by flood-waters in 1954.1
