This sketch shows an arched gate with a castle on the right and a bridge on the left. The subject has not been conclusively identified although it may represent the same view found in the top right-hand corner of folio 76 verso (D14802), which depicts part of the walls of Civita Castellana with the Forte Sangallo. Alternatively, it may be a rough drawing of the Porta Romana at Nepi, a town approximately four miles south-west of Civita Castellana, with the fifteenth-century castle, the Rocca dei Borgia on the right and the eighteenth-century aqueduct on the left.
