This sketch is part of a view of the Roman countryside near the Ponte Molle. The drawing continues on the opposite sheet of the double-page spread, see folio 38 (D16220; Turner Bequest CLXXXVIII 37).
The building visible here on the left is probably the same one which appears on the right-hand side of a watercolour of a similar view in the Naples: Rome C. Studies sketchbook (see Tate D16133; Turner Bequest CLXXXVII 45).
