Llandowror is a small village on the road from St Clears to Pembroke. The ruins of its mill were until recently (2000) visible under a dense covering of ivy; they appear since to have been demolished. A monochrome study based on this sketch is Tate D00687 (Turner Bequest XXVIII B).

The sheet is slightly discoloured.
