This page contains two distinct sketches. The uppermost vista depicts a bridge across a river with mountains in the distance and is tentatively identified as a distant prospect of the city of Lyon.1 Compare similar features on folio 37 verso (D16712; Turner Bequest CXCII 36a). At the bottom is a study of a bridge.
