This page contains a small part of a landscape composition which has spilled over from the opposite sheet of the double-page spread, see folio 46 (D14231; Turner Bequest CLXXIV 45). The sketch depicts a view of Boffalora sopra Ticino, a village approximately fifteen miles west of Milan which represented the official border between the regions of Piedmont and Lombardy.1
