This page contains three distinct sketches, all of which depict views of the village of St-Michel-de-Maurienne, in the Maurienne valley, Savoy. Two of the studies have been drawn on the left-hand side of the sheet with the sketchbook held vertically. The draughtsmanship is rather rough and schematic but they appear to represent vistas from the approach to the west. The remaining drawing is part of a larger prospect of the village from the south-east that has spilled over from the opposite sheet of the double-page spread, see folio 85 verso (D14135).
