This sketch looks down the Val d’Aosta, over the Pont de la Villette to the Pont de Dolonne, with Courmayeur to the left and Dolonne to the right and Mont Crammont directly above the Pont de La Villette. The angle of view is approximatewly 90 degrees, taking in the Testa d’Arp at the right. The Pont de La Villette has since been replaced with a single-span concrete bridge, but the Pont de Dolonne survives, although widened with a new two-lane deck above.
