Not recorded by Finberg and now bound as the recto, this page contains three sketches, drawn inverted in relation to the main numbered sequence of subjects in the sketchbook:
i. (main sketch, above) The centre and main part of a three-part panorama of Geneva from the west, looking across the Arve floodplain from near its junction with the River Rhône, with the Mole in the distance to the right of the city, and continued to the right on the opposite page (D29141; Turner Bequest CCXCIII 55a) and to the left, below left in (ii).
ii. (below left) Geneva from the west, continuing the main sketch (i) to the left, to look down the Rhône.
iii. (below right) A thumbnail sketch of Mont Blanc from near Servoz in the Arve Valley, inscribed ‘St M[ichael’s] Bridge [?]’ and ‘Snow [?]’ above the summit of Mont Blanc. Turner sketched a similar subject, in rather greater detail, on the same visit (Tate D34186; Turner Bequest CCXLII 2).
