Drawn inverted in relation to the main numbered sequence of subjects in the sketchbook, this sketch was made at Peronne, recording the market square with the belfry and tower of the Church of St Jean le Baptiste. Turner sketched the same site near the other end of the sketchbook (D29045; Turner Bequest CCXCIII 7a).
