Turner’s label inscribed ‘Le Alps approcant Grenoble’ probably refers to this drawing which, although stamped with the letter ‘N’, may be listed by Finberg as ‘Page 17 or 18’ of the Grenoble series; both these are not otherwise accounted for and have long been thought to be missing.
