Diana Cook and Dorothy Kirk describe the view of the Devon bank of the Tamar, looking north-east from Windy Hill, on the road below the later railway bridge north-west of Calstock’s parish church.1 The view is continuous with folio 139 verso opposite (D09653), where Gunnislake is visible, although Cook and Kirk treat that page separately and suggest a different viewpoint nearby.
The view eastwards towards Morwellham on the verso (D09655) may effectively be a development and extension of the rough outlines towards the right of the present page.
For other views along the Tamar Valley, see under folio 114 verso (D09606).
