Of the two helmets shown here, drawn with the page turned vertically, the one at the top left may have informed Turner’s 1819 vignette of weaponry for his Views in Sussex, while the flanged mace head at the foot of the page corresponds closely to the one in the finished design. Below and to the right of centre of the page is a two-stage multiplication, descending vertically in relation to the drawings (and inverted relative to the foliation):
