This irregular stub is not mentioned in Finberg’s Turner Bequest Inventory,1 The drawing of clouds on folios 21 verso and 23 recto (D12153, D12154) continues across it, so the rest of the leaf was presumably torn out beforehand. As set out under folio 7 verso (D12134), there are nearly thirty pages of cloud studies in this sketchbook, some annotated with colours, as here, and other observations.
