With the page turned horizontally, from the countryside east of it, Plymouth is seen in the distance with Plymouth Sound, Drake’s Island and Mount Edgcumbe beyond. The subjects as far as folio 127 recto (D09358) are all identified or presumed sites within a few miles in and around Plymouth, suggesting a series of fairly short excursions.

Blank. A dark brown, linear stain at the top is offset on folio 86 recto opposite (D09311).
